Outwood Primary Academy Littleworth Grange will receive £20,080 for 2017/18.
Following the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Government has made a commitment to invest over £450 million on improving physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools over the academic years 2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17 and 2017/18.
The government has chosen to invest in Primary School Physical Education and School Sport. They have done this by offering each primary school £8000 plus £5 per pupil to be spent in any way the school thinks best to improve the teaching and learning of PE and School Sport in their individual school.Schools and academies determine how best to spend their allocation.
We have decided to spend our allocation in the following way:

We now have a fully qualified sports coach and the use of Commando Joes to organise and manage lunchtime activities ensuring maximum pupil participation in both KS1 and KS2. Some of the funding has been used to increase the range of extra-curricular activities and subsidised a number of these. Our local sports partnership has provided training and support for teachers in delivering dance and gymnastics in both key stages to improve the quality of teaching and learning.
